The Enlightened CEO:
How to Succeed at the Toughest Job in Business

Recently published by Gordon Quick, Managing Principal – CEO Mentors, withCo-author Bob Fifer, The Enlightened CEO is the first comprehensive, real-world guide for the CEO. From vision and strategy to execution, and from team-building to follow-through and communicating, the authors get to the core of what separates winning CEOs from less successful ones.

The Challenge for CEOs

Whether it's stalled growth or translating your strategy into an operating plan, CEOs have challenges related to their role as the CEO – challenges that cannot be delegated to a member of their management team.  And while many issues may appear to be a functional problem, it's more often an indicator of a broader problem in the business.

In small to mid-size companies, CEOs and their management teams often don't have the time or the expertise to get to find the root cause of a problem and/or to devise and implement a solution.  But there are ways to cost-effectively augment your resources and increase the expertise at your disposal.

What Keeps You Up at Night?

  • Has your sales momentum stalled?
  • Is your management team not working effectively together?
  • Are your people not as productive as they should be?  Are they inspired and properly motivated?
  • Do you have a good strategy – but don’t seem to execute consistently?
  • Are you looking to transition beyond an entrepreneurial company – without losing the entrepreneurial spirit?
  • Do you need to raise the next round of funding but are not sure how to crisply and effectively communicate your story?
  • Are you doing ok – but know you could be doing better?

If one of these, or any number of other concerns, keep you up at night, you’re not alone. These are a few examples of the challenges that every CEO has faced at one time or another.  The real issue is – What are you going to do about it?
